Employment Law News – April 2021 Round-up

The employment team at 3 Hare Court have been busy tackling a range of topical employment law issues from pandemic related matters to Brexit. See below for a round-up of topics we have covered from January to April 2021.

On our New Year’s webinar includes Tom Poole QC (who was made silk on 15 March) and Emily Moore covered the issue of Post Employment Notice Pay (‘PENP’). We address how you calculate PENP, changes coming into effect on 6 April this year and the tax treatment of termination payments.

We also continued to produce our series of short webinars (of 10 minutes or less) dealing with topics arising in the pandemic, which you can see on our YouTube channel. This year included Emily Moore on the ramifications of the Supreme Court decision in Uber as well as the resurgence in the use of ‘fire and rehire’ tactics.
