Jeffrey Golden KC chairs session at Middle Temple Amity Visit

This year, the Middle Temple Amity Visit takes place in Washington DC, United States. The conference, 18-21 September, includes sessions on AI, foreign relations and judicial challenges.

Jeffrey Golden KC will chair the session on environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG).

At both the federal and state levels, the law of the United States is largely derived from the common law system of English law, which was in force at the time of the American Revolutionary War. However, American law has diverged greatly from its English ancestor both in terms of substance and procedure, and has incorporated a number of civil law innovations.
