Appeal from the Mauritius Supreme Court by an employee summarily dismissed after employer learned of conviction for assault with aggravating circumstances – whether s32(2)(a) Labour Act 1975 (Mau), which prevented an employer from dismissing an employee unless the latter had been given the opportunity to answer any charges made against him, applied to any case where an employer proposed to dismiss an employee.
