A highly important decision has been delivered in Mauritius, in which the Supreme Court has set aside an award of MUR 4.7 billion (US$ 132 million) on the grounds that it breached public policy, the underlying contract having been made in breach of mandatory public procurement legislation.

James Guthrie QC acted for the successful party.
