Rory Turnbull in High-Profile Inquest into the Death of Claire Lomas MBE

Rory Turnbull appears in the high-profile inquest arising from the death of charity fundraiser and campaigner Claire Lomas MBE.

The inquest examined the circumstances surrounding a flight undertaken by Ms Lomas in a specially adapted aircraft during the filming of a television production in Jordan in 2024. Rory acted on behalf of Secret Compass Limited, which provided health and safety consultancy services to the production company organising the shoot.

The proceedings raised issues of health and safety, risk management and regulatory oversight in both the aviation and television production industries and attracted significant media attention. Following consideration of the evidence, the Coroner delivered a short-form conclusion of ‘accident’.
