Professor Satvinder Juss is Editor of The Ashgate Research Companion to Migration Law, Theory and Policy due out for publication in March 2013.
In the preface, Prof. Juss writes the following about the book:
“The Companion aims to provide readers with a definitive and dependable state-of-the-art review of current research in each of the chosen areas that is all-embracing and all-inclusive of its subject-matter. Conventional discussions are brought together with fresh and ground-breaking forms of thinking. This should surprise no one. Migration is as old as humanity itself. It has, of course, taken various forms throughout history. What is clear is that migration is a phenomenon that (as those of us living in the developed world have learnt) is socially and politically transformative. in recent years, therefore, there has been an extraordinary rise of interest in migration studies, spurred on by a no less than extraordinary growth in migration law journals.”
