The 3 Hare Court international team is highly experienced in litigation and advisory work with an international dimension. Our clients regularly include corporations, governments, political parties, banks, and prisoners under sentence of death, as well as individual litigants of every kind.

Many members of Chambers have been called to the Bar in overseas jurisdictions and have appeared in courts around the world, including Antigua, the Bahamas, Barbados, the Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Dominica, Gibraltar, Grenada, Hong Kong, Mauritius, Northern Ireland, St Christopher & Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent & the Grenadines, and Trinidad & Tobago.

Our work before the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council is particularly renowned. 3 Hare Court is widely recognised as a leading (and often the leading) set in such work, having appeared in hundreds of Privy Council appeals across all areas of law. Members are also regularly instructed in applications and appeals before local courts subject to the Privy Council’s jurisdiction.

International commercial arbitration forms a further core part of our practice. Members have acted in arbitrations under the rules of major institutions and regimes including the UNCITRAL Rules, ICSID, ICC, EBRD, LCIA, LMAA, HKIAC and ad hoc arbitrations.

Further, members are highly regarded for their work in cross-border personal injury and travel-related litigation, acting for claimants and defendants in cases involving serious injury and complex conflict of laws issues.

Members are highly recognised by The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners 2026 UK Bar Guides for their expertise and market recognition in International & Offshore:

A decision of Supreme Court of Gibraltar on an application for an anti-suit injunction to restrain foreign proceedings and an application for a stay on forum non conveniens grounds. The decision confirms that the Brussels Recast Regulation is still applicable in Gibraltar and considers whether section 33 of the Civil Jurisdiction and Judgments Act 1993 (Gibraltar) could nevertheless allow the court to order a stay on forum non conveniens or case management grounds.
