The 3 Hare Court education law team has a wealth of expertise in a wide range of education law issues. We represent clients across the public, private and third sector, including schools, local authorities, academies, colleges, universities, senior management, regulatory bodies, qualification and examination boards, as wells as pupils and their families.
Our barristers are able to draw upon specialisms in connected fields, including employment, commercial and company law, immigration, public law and healthcare.
The team represents clients in all courts, tribunals and panel proceedings, including the SEND Tribunal and Upper Tribunal and the specialist regulatory tribunals.
They have experience of advising in relation to higher education on a range of educational issues encompassing fitness to practice proceedings, discrimination claims and contractual disputes.
Natasha Jackson has been appointed as Standing Counsel to the Office of the Independent Adjudicator, the independent ombuds service designated to run the higher education student complaints scheme in England and Wales. In this role, she will be advising and representing the OIA on judicial review matters. Sara Ibrahim has also been appointed to act as OIA Counsel.
