Peter Knox QC has just finished a Judicial Review in the Leeds Administrative Court where he acts for the Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education. They claim they were denied capital cash from the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) and accuse the further education funding body of “an abuse of power”.

Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education are seeking a judicial review of the decision not to reimburse it for £3.7 million of costs incurred in developing a project that was approved by the then Learning and Skills Council (LSC) in principle, before funding ran out.

Judgment is awaited.
