Jeffrey Golden QC (Hon) appointed ABA Representative to the United Nations Economic and Social Council in Geneva and Vienna

Following Jeffrey Golden QC (Hon) appointment as a member to the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative (ROLI) Board, Jeff has further been appointed as the ABA Representative to the United Nations Economic and Social Council in Geneva and Vienna.

The UN Economic and Social Council is at the heart of the United Nations system to advance the three dimensions of sustainable development – economic, social and environmental.  It is one of the six main organs of the United Nations, and has responsibility for the follow-up to major UN conferences and summits.

The ABA had both observer and consultative status at ECOSOC, which includes the right to contribute to the debates and innovative thinking and initiatives undertaken there.
