Employment Law Update – April 2015 – An employment law update from 3 Hare court.

In this month’s edition we look at 3 cases:

  • In the first, Clarkson v. BBC, the court of public opinion is called upon to decide whether Jeremy Clarkson deserved to be dismissed by the BBC for a physical attack on his producer;
  • In the second De Souza v. Vinci Construction UK Ltd considered whether the 10% uplift to general damages awards dictated by Simmons v. Castle should be applied to ET cases;
  • In the third, Williams v. Leeds United FC, the court was required to assess the seriousness of a senior manager’s conduct is sending obscene e-mails to a junior female employee.
