Katharine commenced Pupillage in October 2020. She studied English Language and Literature at Worcester College, Oxford before completing the GDL and BPTC at City, University of London.
At City, Katharine was a pro bono volunteer and later director of the School Exclusion Project (‘SEP’). Katharine is passionate about education and is a helpline volunteer with IPSEA, an independent charity providing advice to the parents of children with special educational needs.
During the last year, Katharine gained valuable experience as a litigation paralegal at Withers LLP, focusing on employment, partnership and shareholder disputes. She worked closely with partners and senior associates on a wide range of cases across many areas including financial services, oil and gas, fashion retail, art, charity and education, acting for employers and senior executives. Cases covered breach of contract, unfair / constructive dismissal, whistleblowing and discrimination, as well as partnership and shareholder issues. Katharine is interested in all of Chambers' practice areas with a particular focus on employment.
