Bertha Cooper-Rousseau practice is mainly focused on all areas of commercial and business law.

She regularly works on multijurisdictional matters that include trusts, tracing, fraud corporate governance and regulatory issues. Bertha Cooper-Rousseau also acts as Counsel to one of Switzerland most reputable Private Banks.

Bertha Cooper-Rousseau has studied French at the Sorbonne in Paris, France and obtained her BA and Masters Degrees in International Relations at L’Institut d’Etude des Relations Internationales in Paris, France. Ms. Cooper Rousseau undertook further studies in Maritime Law at L’Universite de Bretagne Occidentale in Brest, France. Being motivated in the advancement of her personal development she went on to work at the Maritime Division of The Bahamas High Commission in London, and attained her LLB (Hons) Degree from The University of London in 1991. To complete the package Ms. Cooper Rousseau went on to successfully complete the Bar.

Bertha Cooper-Rousseau established her law firm Rousseau & Cooper law in The Bahamas in 1999.

In 2009 Bertha Cooper-Rousseau was made a Bencher of The Honourable Society of Middle Temple.
