The Privy Council heard together three appeals against conviction, challenging decisions of the Court of Appeal of Bermuda. They raised similar, although not identical, questions concerning the admissibility and proper ambit of evidence as to the existence and practices of gangs and the defendant’s connections with them.

Howard Stevens QC led the team for the respondent.
