Where a firm of solicitors had given negligent advice to a clinet concerning his company's entitlement to compensation for termination of an agency agreement in accordance with the Commercial Agents (Council Directive) Regulations 1993, resulting in the client losing the chance to pursue a claim for increased compensation under those Regulations, the clinet was entitled to damages from the solicitors for breach of contract and professional negligence.
