William Knatchbull

William Knatchbull is our 2024-2025 Pupil. William’s pupillage commences on 7 October 2024.

Prior to commencing pupillage, William worked at the Bingham Centre for the Rule of Law where he undertook research on topics including legislative compliance with international treaty obligations, recent rule of law retrogressions and counter-terrorism. He also helped administer the all-party parliamentary group for the rule of law.

Before being called to the Bar, William graduated with first-class honours in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Exeter. He subsequently completed the GDL and then spent time as a research volunteer at the UCL Constitution Unit and researching the constitutional role of the UK Law Officers. He then completed the Bar Course as a Gray’s Inn Scholar.
