Anna Lancy has been appointed as Advocate for the Attorney General’s London ‘C’ panel for civil litigation. The appointment commences 1st September 2026.
Anna is an experienced trial advocate, with a busy civil practice comprising commercial law, public law, international arbitration, civil fraud and appeals to the Privy Council. Her practice has both a domestic and an international dimension – before joining the English Bar, she practised for over 5 years as a solicitor in Melbourne and London, and she remains an Australian Legal Practitioner. In the field of public law, she is currently instructed as junior counsel to the Ministry of Defence in the Independent Inquiry relating to Afghanistan. She is regularly instructed off panel by Government Departments, including the Home Office and the Secretary of State for the Home Department.
Anna joins fellow members of Chambers Katharine Bailey and Adam Riley, already on the C Panel.
Katherine Deal KC, Head of Chambers, comments – “Competition for places on panels (on which the Government relies for representation and advice) is fierce, and we offer our congratulations to Anna on her success”.
