Eleven Members of chambers will be presenting at the inaugural Trinidad and Tobago Law Conference which is taking place on Saturday 6 June at the Hugh Wooding Law School. The theme for the conference is ‘Recent contributions of the Caribbean to the Common and Constitutional Law’.

Peter Knox QC will provide an overview on the recent contribution of Caribbean Cases. James Guthrie QC will talk on Judicial Bias and Thomas Roe QC will discuss Dissenting Judgments.

The conference will also include a ‘Question Time’ style panel discussion, chaired by Simon Davenport QC, focusing on the Constitutions, the Common Law and recent events.

Other topics being covered on the day include: Legitimate Expectations, Widening concept of state responsibility in public law, States of Emergency, the Justice trajectory post-Independence, recent common law developments, Constitutional Damages and Financial Market Disputes
