Dan undertakes general commercial and business law, and undertakes work in all areas of contract law, including sale of goods and consumer credit. He has an interest in insolvency law and has experience in that field.
A significant proportion of his practice is in employment law and he has tribunal experience in unfair and wrongful dismissal, breach of contract and sex discrimination cases.
He also undertakes a wide variety of personal injury work, including employers, occupiers and public liability cases. He has a particular interest in the increasing overlap of health and safety issues in the workplace and employment law.
He has considerable experience as an advocate appearing before inquests (including those concerned with accidents in the workplace), and specialist tribunals such as the CRU Appeals Board.
Publications and Lectures: Dan has acted as co-ordinator for the Employment Law Association advocacy training courses, and has led employment advocacy training skills seminars run by chambers for solicitor clients. He contributed to ‘Oliver & Dingemans: Employers Liability Cases’. He also contributes to client bulletins produced by Chambers in Commercial, Personal Injury and Travel.
