A highly experienced personal injury practitioner, Iain McLeod’s practice is strongly focused in this area and on professional and clinical negligence. His cases have included substantial claims resulting from road traffic accidents and accidents at work, and also several claims against the MOD arising from accidents to serving members of HM forces. He has experience of extremely complex cases. These include those where injury has exacerbated pre-existing disability or vulnerability (for example congenital severe learning disability), resulting in the need for increased levels of care, and high-value cases involving complex periodical and interim payment settlements.
His clinical negligence work has included claims arising from negligent investigation, misdiagnosis and treatment.
Additionally, Iain McLeod does a broad range of family work and particularly claims for ancillary relief which have included claims involving family farming enterprises and family companies.
Iain McLeod sits as a Recorder, trying criminal and civil cases, and private law family cases.
