We have a specialist commercial group within chambers, offering expertise at all levels of experience.

We are regularly involved in claims for and against insurers, reinsurers, banks, building societies, companies of all kinds, individual directors, receivers, administrators, liquidators and statutory bodies. We also regularly act for foreign Governments.

There is often a strong international dimension to this aspect of our work.

Apart from litigation in the Commercial Court and the Chancery Division, we are regularly involved in arbitrations in the United Kingdom and internationally, including ICSID (World Bank) EBRD (European Bank) and ICC arbitrations. We have recent and continuing experience of substantial group litigation.

We offer a complete service to our commercial clients, specialist advice, and the drafting of commercial contracts and other business documents.

Very often we find that commercial work overlaps with other specialities within these chambers. Examples are freezing orders involving money laundering, sale of goods, employment law issues and the regulation of financial services.
